Last week Oli Shipton, Partner in the Corporate group, opened a day of educational presentations for venture capitalists at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA)’s training course on legal essentials.

Oli offered practical guidance to the VCs on why, how and when to use terms, as well as an overview of key investment documentation such as investment agreements and articles of association. His talk was followed by an in-depth Q&A.

The course, hosted by Lee & Thompson, featured presentations from external speakers on critical topics including loan agreements, due diligence, warranties and indemnities and taxation incentives.
