Lee Stone
Lee is a partner in Lee & Thompson’s Film Group.
Upon qualifying at SNR Denton (then Denton Hall) in 1998, Lee worked at Endemol UK, where he gained valuable television industry experience with a particular emphasis on children’s drama, live event programming and reality/factual entertainment television.
Lee joined Lee & Thompson in 2000 and now advises on all aspects of the film and television industry, representing a range of financiers, producers, distributors and post-production houses. His clients include some of the UK’s most successful and prolific film production companies.
Lee is also a leading lawyer in the field of animation and has structured and has worked on a multitude of international animation co-productions. In addition, Lee has also been instrumental in developing the firm’s expertise in advising the Indian film industry and is widely recognised as the go-to-lawyer for Indian film producers, financiers and distributors wanting to do business in the UK, as a result of which Lee is also regularly instructed by British companies wanting to collaborate with entities from within the Indian film industry.
