Zoe Morris


Zoe is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Reputation Protection Groups.

After graduating from the University of Warwick with a degree in Law, Zoe trained at DLA Piper. During her training contract she completed a six-month secondment to DLA Piper’s Tokyo office before qualifying into the firm’s Litigation and Regulatory Group in 2011.

Zoe then joined media litigation firm Carter-Ruck where she practised for over two and a half years before joining Lee & Thompson in 2015.

Zoe has considerable litigation and dispute resolution experience. Whilst at Carter-Ruck, she acted on a wide range of defamation and privacy matters on behalf of well-known celebrities, politicians and companies. Zoe represented several claimants with phone hacking claims against News Group Newspapers in connection with Operation Weeting, with each claimant obtaining substantial sums in damages. Other successes include obtaining substantial sums in damages and Statements in Open Court on behalf of libel claimants. She also has experience in advising individuals and companies pre-publication/broadcast.

Zoe regularly advises clients in relation to other entertainment industry disputes, including commercial disputes and claims in respect of copyright infringement.
