A trainee solicitor in the firm’s Employment group, Tom supports the team on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for corporate and individual clients, bringing a people-focused perspective informed by his previous experience in theatre and media.
Before training as a solicitor, Tom built a career in theatre producing, working with some of the UK’s leading stage companies and entertainment institutions. His experience includes working for The Walt Disney Company on the West End premiere of Frozen and the reimagined UK and Ireland tour of Beauty and the Beast, as well as serving as Trainee Producer sponsored by the Society of London Theatre at Kenny Wax Limited, the producer of SIX: The Musical and The Play That Goes Wrong. He also gained experience with The Old Vic, Ambassador Theatre Group, and Hofesh Shechter Company.
Tom’s earlier creative experience includes acting, programming and writing. He previously worked as a professional actor and performed as a member of the National Youth Theatre, served as a Young Programmer for the Barbican Cinemas, and contributed theatre reviews for critic Libby Purves.
Before joining Lee & Thompson, Tom worked as a Paralegal at Lewis Silkin LLP and gained in-house legal experience at Warner Bros. Discovery, supporting its Local Film Distribution and International Television Production teams, experience which helped him develop a practical understanding of client priorities across the media and entertainment sectors.
He is currently studying for his SQE2 exams alongside his training contract.
