Nick Salbaing

An Associate in Lee & Thompson’s Film & Television Group specialising in media finance, Nick advises a wide range of banks, independent debt financiers and equity investors on both equity and debt financing for film and television projects.

Prior to joining Lee & Thompson, Nick headed up the in-house legal function of Aniventure, a London-based animation production company, where he worked on feature films such as HITPIG! (2024) and Andy Serkis’ adaption of Animal Farm. He also brings significant private practice experience from finance associate roles at leading US law firms Goodwin Procter in Luxembourg and Gibson Dunn in London.

Nick is qualified to practice law in both England and Canada. He holds Civil and Common Law degrees from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Master’s in Taxation from Osgoode Hall Law School, where his thesis examined the Canadian Film and Television Tax Credit system.

He is fluent in both English and French.
