Sarah focuses on film & television financing and advises a wide range of finance clients, from banks and independent financiers on senior debt lending to public funders and private equity investors on equity investments. Sarah’s finance focus has led to her recognition as a Leading Associate in Media Finance in the legal directory Legal 500.
Sarah enjoys taking on a transaction management role and has strong expertise in advising clients lending against or accessing tax incentives, both domestic and international, having advised clients on English law lending in respect of over 20 different international incentives.
Since joining Lee & Thompson in 2017, Sarah’s experience has been in both scripted and unscripted entertainment, with some recent work highlights including assisting Lorton Entertainment with its development and production of Amazon Prime show, Molly Mae: Behind It All and Disney’s Wagatha Christie; representing Head Gear Films on its financing of Academy Award-nominated feature, The Apprentice starring Sebastian Stan and TIFF-2025-premiere Sacrifice (starring Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy and Charli XCX); Screen Yorkshire’s funding of Shane Meadows’ upcoming feature Chork and BBC series Reunion, which featured a predominantly deaf cast and crew.
Sarah is originally from Yorkshire, read law at the University of Leeds and went on to complete the LPC at the BPP Law School. She is a committee member of Lee & Thompson’s Recruitment & Access and Women’s Networks and a member of Women in Film & TV UK.
