An Associate in L&T’s Music department, Theo advises clients on a broad range of legal and commercial matters. He acts for artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, DJs, managers, record labels and other businesses, providing pragmatic, commercially-minded advice tailored to each client’s objectives.
With well-established roots in the music industry, Theo most enjoys helping creative clients navigate the evolving entertainment landscape and build successful, sustainable careers and businesses.
Outside of his legal practice, Theo has produced music across various genres for more than a decade, including house, UK garage, breaks and neo-soul. He has worked with independent record labels, produced official remixes and collaborations, run events and DJ’d at venues such as Fabric and Ministry of Sound. Prior to this, Theo played in metal and punk bands, having performed across the UK and in Europe. His experiences navigating different sub-genres have shaped his approach to legal work: no two businesses are the same, and effective advice starts with a strong understanding of each client’s unique commercial context.
Theo studied History at King’s College London and the London School of Economics before completing the GDL and LPC at the University of Law.
He initially joined Lee & Thompson as a Paralegal in our Corporate & Commercial department in 2023, soon after participating in the firm’s Vacation Scheme, before completing his training contract and qualifying into the Music team in 2026.
