Shay Kennedy - Associate, Corporate & Commercial

An Associate in the Corporate & Commercial department, Shay advises clients across the creative industries on a broad range of matters.

Shay began his training contract at Lee & Thompson in 2022 having joined in 2021 as a paralegal in our Film, TV & Games department, after completing the firm’s 2020 Vacation Scheme.

Shay brings experience from a previous role as a Sigma Law Specialist for Reed Smith and Elevate Legal Services, providing transactional support across a range of practice areas including funds finance, real estate, and commercial litigation.

He attained a first-class law degree from the University of Leeds and was subsequently awarded a scholarship from the Law Society to complete the LPC at BPP University Law School.

Outside of work, Shay has a keen interest in the performing arts, having previously worked on projects for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, BBC Radio 4 and the National Youth Theatre.
