Lee & Thompson’s 2026 Vacation Scheme marks eighth year of work experience programme

8th July 2026

We were delighted to once again host our annual week-long Vacation Scheme for aspiring media lawyers last week.

This year, we welcomed a group of eight outstanding individuals, selected through a highly competitive process: Franky Lynn, Freddie Reynolds, Ayaan Kash, Magnus Crawshaw, Ines Anoustis, Charlotte Clancy, Elizabeth Thresh and Arthur Avanzato.

First launched in 2019, our Vacation Scheme offers participants a genuine insight into life at Lee & Thompson, offering a blend of structured learning and development workshops. The programme includes individual exercises and scenarios-based group challenges including formal pitching. They also took on tasks across our Film, Television & Games, Music, Corporate, Commercial & Employment and Dispute Resolution departments, working alongside partners, legal directors, associates and trainees alike. The week’s structure also integrated overviews of our operations and social opportunities, allowing participants to connect with each other and most of the firm, in a relaxed and engaging environment.

Upon completing the week, one of the participants commented: “Thank you again for running such a smooth and informative Vacation Scheme, I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed my time with you all at L&T.”

Karen Genuardi, Head of People and Talent said “It was a real pleasure to host such an enthusiastic and talented group who fully emersed themselves in all the activities and challenges we had planned for them.  We hope they were all able to take away lots of learning and insight that will support them in their future careers”.

We are proud that six former Vacation Scheme participants have now qualified as solicitors at the firm.
