L&T 2025 Vacation Scheme marks seventh year of work experience programme

4th July 2025

Today marks the end of Lee & Thompson’s annual week-long work experience programme for a group of aspiring media lawyers.

We welcomed a group of eight brilliant individuals onto this year’s Vacation Scheme: Annabel Bowles, Elena Valeri, Elizabeth Railton, Freya Williams, Georgia Fearn, Harry Sargent, Maria Akinkuolie and Thea Schirvanian.

First launched in 2019, our Vacation Scheme offers participants a genuine insight into life at Lee & Thompson, offering a blend of structured learning and development workshops. The programme includes individual exercises, scenarios-based group challenges from legal ethics to formal pitching. We set new tasks across our Film, Television & Games, Music, Corporate, Commercial & Employment and Dispute Resolution departments, introducing participants to partners, legal directors, associates and trainees alike. The week’s structure also integrated overviews of our operations and social opportunities, allowing participants to connect with each other and most of the firm, in a relaxed and engaging environment.

Designed by Lee & Thompson’s active Inclusion & Belonging Network‘s Recruitment & Access strand, our Vacation Scheme was set up to open our doors as wide as possible to a more diverse talent pool.

We are proud that three former participants have now qualified as solicitors at the firm and this year saw a record number of applications for the Scheme.
