19th November 2024

Lee & Thompson’s Corporate team is delighted to have advised on a significant deal in the eCommerce space. We acted for the shareholders of Tambo Marketplaces, the award-winning UK eCommerce technology and services provider, on the company’s sale to Luzern eCommerce, Europe’s leading ecommerce accelerator.

Tambo’s market-leading consultancy, analytics and Amazon Marketing Cloud capabilities will now allow Luzern eCommerce to deliver a powerful end-to-end solution for brands, which – using breakthrough generative AI – dynamically adjusts brands’ prices based on real-time market conditions, maximising both competitiveness and profitability. The transaction was led by corporate partner, Andy Moseby, with associate Aarti Shah and trainee Liv Graham providing invaluable support on the deal.

Chris Whitelaw, CEO and Founder of Tambo said: “This deal was strategically important, positioning Tambo within a global platform to accelerate its growth and reach even greater heights in the eCommerce sector. Working with the team at Lee & Thompson on this transaction was a pleasure; their deep sector expertise, unwavering support and teamwork were instrumental in bringing this deal to a successful close. Headed by Andy Moseby, the team was hugely proactive and went above and beyond to meet our timelines, working tirelessly to ensure that everything fell into place smoothly and efficiently. I was impressed by their commercial approach and their dedication to getting the job done, even under challenging deadlines.

Andy Moseby added: “We enjoyed working with Chris and the other shareholders on this deal. It was a great example of how our combination of technology expertise and agility helps bring deals to a successful conclusion. We are confident that the combined strengths of Tambo and Luzern will drive significant value in the ever-changing eCommerce landscape.
