L&T walks 42km for Women’s Aid in Overnight Marathon Hike

14th March 2024

A week ago today on a chilly Thursday evening, twelve L&T hikers set out on a 42km urban hike through London and along the River Thames, to raise funds for Women’s Aid England, our charity of the year until 31 March 2024.

Our route began at our Fitzrovia office and then followed the Thames Path along the north and south banks in a squashed figure of eight. We managed to finish the charity challenge in a touch under 10 hours, arriving back at our office, 2 hours earlier than anticipated, by 5am as dawn broke on International Women’s Day.

A fantastic feat by the 12 of us, which was a real test for most of us to accomplish. Some bodies were broken by the time we reached, but as a group, we dug deep and walked through the pain in the final hours to complete the marathon.

Help our Fundraising:

Women’s Aid works tirelessly to end domestic abuse against women and children in England and raise awareness about the challenges they face. We really appreciate the sponsorship thus far, and would be incredibly grateful for any additional contributions while we heal our wounds and let our muscles recover:
