After working in the film industry for almost a decade, Luke is now a partner in our Film and TV group, advising clients on all legal matters related to development, production, financing and distribution. His practice is mainly focused on independent feature filmmaking, with substantial growth in high-end television work. Luke has spent a lot of time negotiating cast and other talent contracts, so is very knowledgeable on US guilds (SAG, DGA, WGA) and UK Equity, and familiar with agents and working with US lawyers.
His clients are predominantly independent production companies, such as Element Pictures, Turbine Studios, Zephyr Films, Future Artists Entertainment, Caspian Films, Home Team Content and House Pictures. This core of proven producers is complemented by a burgeoning list of up-and-coming talent. Luke has had the privilege of working on several award-winning films, most notably the Academy Award winning “The Zone of Interest” in 2024 and “The Brutalist” in 2025.
Luke co-established the firm’s “NextGen” Producers Collective as means to nurture promising filmmakers and also jointly manages the training and mentoring of recipients of the James Walker Legacy Award.
