L&T selects James Walker Legacy Award 2026 recipients

25th June 2026

We are delighted to share that independent screen producers Will Perkins and Dora Galosi are this year’s recipients of the James Walker Legacy Award.

Lee & Thompson set up this Award with the NFTS (National Film & Television School) in 2020 in memory of our colleague James, who was dedicated to helping young and aspiring film producers on their way in the film industry.

Each year, two graduates from the MA in Producing course are selected to benefit from a range of practical support and guidance, including mentoring, legal advice and networking opportunities. The Award provides much-needed support to aspiring producers in the first crucial years after graduating from the NFTS to help them hit the ground running, dedicate their time to further developing their slates and establishing themselves in the industry.

As always, we were impressed by the very strong submissions this year, and we hope to keep in touch with all the applicants as they work towards building their development slates and a network of film industry contacts.

Will and Dora join previous recipients of the Award: Lisa Leach, Michal Wsilewski/Louis Jousselme (jointly), Danielle Goff, Jack Pollington, Karima Sammout-Kanellopoulou, Carolina Cordero, Tidža Karup, Hayder Hoozeer, Paolo Maria Pedullà, Owen Thomas and Ella Ritchie.
