Lee & Thompson is delighted to announce the promotion of Marek George, Anushka Sinha, James Rushton and Frania Cooper to Partner, effective from 1 April 2026.
Marek George joined Lee & Thompson upon qualification in 2013. He plays a pivotal role in the TV team working with many of the UK’s leading scripted television production companies. Marek specialises in all areas of TV development, production, financing and distribution providing extensive commercial knowledge to help businesses navigate the constantly changing TV space.
Anushka Sinha has been promoted to Partner in recognition of her exceptional work in establishing and rapidly scaling the firm’s Immigration practice since joining in 2024. As Anushka is the leading expert in Global Talent applications, this recognition strengthens the nexus between Anushka’s expertise and the firm’s creative industries client base. Her leadership has created a solid platform for continued expansion and future market recognition.
Frania Cooper is an integral member of the Dispute Resolution team. Frania joined in 2016 and advises clients across the media, technology and creative industries on a wide range of contractual and intellectual property disputes. As head of the firm’s Data Protection practice, she is driving the firm’s continued growth in this area.
James Rushton is a key member of the firm’s Music team. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has built a strong and dynamic client base, acting for a number of record labels as well as emerging and established talent. Drawing on his previous in-house experience at Island Records and passion for music, James combines commercial insight with an impressive network to provide strategic advice to his clients.
