Following a firm-wide vote, we are pleased to announce that Lee & Thompson has chosen Ronald McDonald House Charities as the firm’s new Charity of the Year.

Until 31 March 2027, we will plan regular team fundraising activities in aid of RMHC, while gaining a deeper understanding of the important work that the charity does.

Ronald McDonald House Charities operates programmes across the UK such as Ronald McDonald Houses, which offer free or low-cost accommodation near hospitals for families of seriously ill children, as well as Family Rooms inside hospitals where caregivers can rest and recharge. It also runs initiatives such as mobile medical clinics and community health programmes to improve access to care for underserved populations. Together, these services aim to ease the emotional and financial burden on families while keeping them close to their child during treatment.

Throughout the years, we have fundraised for a variety of causes that are close to our hearts and even managed to achieve a new record, doubling our £10,000 target through our fundraising efforts.

This year, we will be raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organisation dedicated to supporting families by providing stability and the vital resources they need to focus on what’s most important – their child. The organisation supports family-centred care by enhancing the child and family’s hospital experience, providing families with emotional and physical comfort, and improving the family’s coping and cohesion during the child’s recovery. We are thrilled to be part of their mission and supporting them in every way possible.”
