Our Head of Video Games, Partner Julian Ward, was invited to speak about trust and accountability in the games industry on a panel at More Than Just a Game video games conference in London last week.

The panel, entitled “Building Trust: Players and Regulators“, also included Ann Becker (Video Games Europe), Daniele Schmidt-Fisher (Ukie), Joseph Jackson (EA), Nicoletta Serao (LCA Studio Legal) and Isabel Davies (Wiggin).

The group discussed the developers and publishers’ responsibility in upholding player trust and navigating increasingly complex regulatory landscapes, exploring how the industry can nurture trust by aligning innovation with accountability, and delved into the challenges of self-regulation, the role of policy in shaping fair play, and how transparency, ethics, and player protections can drive sustainable growth.
