We consider ourselves a responsible business: Responsible in the way we look after our clients, responsible in the way we conduct ourselves and responsible in the way we look after our people.

We also understand our role in our local community, the industries in which we work and in society as a whole. By behaving responsibly, respectfully and with integrity, we hope that we can have a positive impact on all those who interact with the firm.

Below is a brief outline of our Corporate Social Responsibility activity.

Further to a firm-wide vote, we are delighted that Plan International has been selected as the firm’s Charity of the Year for 2018/19.

We are proud to be supporting the charity’s Safe Schools for Refugees in Ethiopia project which is working to protect refugee children in Ethiopia who have had to flee South Sudan due to civil unrest, and get them back into education.  The project aims to reach 39,550 children aged 3-14.  By boosting education for newcomers and local children, the charity will keep the most vulnerable safe and given them back the chance to learn.

We’ll share our fundraising progress throughout the year via our News section.

We are proud of the role that we play in the industries and sectors in which we work.  Over the years we have become associated with a variety of bodies that support the media, technology and creative industries.

Our contribution to these organisations varies but includes sponsorship, hosting events, mentoring and supporting the development and delivery of educational programming.

We are proud of our relationship with the following organisations:

We believe that Lee & Thompson is a truly special place to work and at the very heart of the business are some exceptional people.  There is a unique culture that fosters real passion for delivering good results for clients, expression of personality, respect and genuine support for all who work at the firm.  We want to ensure that Lee & Thompson people are able to become the very best that they can be and offer the support and encouragement required to fulfill these ambitions.  Above all, we want everyone to take pleasure and pride in all that they do.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Part of the firm’s commitment to our team is demonstrated in our drive to ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion, and to the prevention of discrimination.

Our Inclusion Network celebrates diversity at our firm and beyond and is committed to ensuring that we are inclusive of and accessible to anyone and everyone who wants to work at or with the firm.  The network’s activity is varied and multi-faceted – from raising awareness of inequality and supporting industry-led inclusion & diversity organisations to reviewing the firm’s own recruitment and staff wellbeing programmes.

Huw Morris, our Inclusion Partner, is a founding member of the Law Society’s LGBT committee, a founding member of the Board of PrideAM (the LGBT network for the advertising and marketing industry), and a trustee of Ditch The Label (a leading anti-bullying charity).
