It has been non-stop for our film and television lawyers over the last couple of months.

The team descended upon Cannes and were proud to have worked on Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, the only British film featured in this year’s festival.

We are currently in the midst of the Edinburgh International Film Festival where Lee Stone will be addressing the EIFF Animation Lab and also hosting a surgery for up and coming producers. We are delighted that Sigma Films’ The Legend of Barney Thomson directed by Robert Carlyle opened the festival earlier this month and that so many other films that we worked on have been chosen to feature – 45 Years, Sunshine Superman, Iona, Desert Dancer, North v South, The Incident, The Sisterhood of Night and Scottish Mussel.

And released on the big screen in the UK this month are client’s films Mr Holmes (Sir Ian McKellan), Slow West (Michael Fassbender, Kodi Smit-McPhee), Gascoigne and London Road (Olivia Colman, Tom Hardy).

On the TV side, there have been rave reviews for many of the productions currently airing that we have worked including series three of The Syndicate (BBC One), series two of Doll & Em (Sky Atlantic), the Chapman brothers’ first TV drama, The Marriage of Reason & Squalor (Sky Arts) and Suntrap (BBC One).
