N27 Lee & Thompson hosts Women in Film & Television Legal Breakfast
21 April 2015

Reputation Protection duo, Mike Brookes and Leo Dawkins, welcomed members of WFTV for a legal breakfast on the topic of ‘Libel Reviewing for Film and Television.’ Concerns about libel are an everyday fact of life for all television and film producers. If you fail to ensure that there is nothing libellous in your production, then not only are you unlikely to have effective E&O insurance, but you also run the risk of a claim being made against you and any other party distributing or financing your production.

Mike and Leo offered attendees an introduction to the world of libel law and its relevance and application in the world of film and TV. Women in Film & TV is the leading membership organisation for women working in creative media in the UK and part of an international network of over 10,000 women worldwide. Lee & Thompson is a long term member and supporter of WFTV and its work.
