The latest in Lee & Thompson’s successful ‘How to’ partnership with Soho House, saw Partner, Jeremy Gawade focus on the big questions of ‘How to successfully create and exploit an international television drama format’.

Attended by over 50 aspiring format creators, producers and distributors, Jeremy was joined by Martin Rakusen, Commercial Director (Fiction) at BBC Worldwide, Daniel Isaacs, Joint CEO at Kudos and Amanda Davis, Head of Theatre, Film & Television at talent agency, Curtis Brown. The panel provided insight into what it takes to create a drama format that will work in the current market, discussing the different stages of the process from pitching to broadcasters, securing production commission, finance arrangements, to distribution arrangements.
