Jeremy Gawade Chairs Producer-Agent Debate at C21 International Drama Summit 2018

Yesterday, Partner, Jeremy Gawade chaired a panel of some of the biggest names in the TV industry at this year’s C21 International Drama Summit, the major annual event for the global scripted TV community.

Jeremy’s session, ‘Trends: Agents of Fortune?’, explored the relationship between content producers/production companies and talent agencies and how this relationship is moving and evolving.  The panel, comprising key players in independent and cross-border TV production included Ted Miller, Co-Head of Television at CAA, Lorenzo De Maio of Endeavour Content, Dan Erlij of United Talent Agency, Josh Varney of 42, talent agent Fabian Haslob and Justin Thomson of Dovetale Media.  Together they discussed the changing roles of agents, in addition to their pure representation roles and explored the differences in the roles of US, UK and European agents together with a review of the packaging role of US agents and whether it has any relevance in the UK, European and international TV drama market place.

The event was held as part of Content London 2018 at Kings Place, London.
