‘How to’ with Lee & Thompson and Soho House

23rd September 2014

In the latest from Lee & Thompson’s popular ‘How To’ partnership with Soho House, Head of Digital, Mark Ashelford chaired a panel of experts focused on the burning question of ‘How to make the most of your content through online platforms’. Attended by over 60 budding content creators and owners, the panel consisted of Matt Rook, Commercial Director at ChannelFlip, one of the UK’s foremost channel management companies, Gideon Mountford, Head of Video at independent digital distributor, Believe Digital and Ed East from multi-channel YouTube network, Billion Dollar Boy. The group reviewed the current market and its challenges, the elusive magic formula of what makes good content, the continuing evolution of YouTube, how to be strategic in managing content and brand partnerships as well as their predictions for the future. With YouTube dominating the market with over 1 billion unique users per month and continuing to grow in strength and reach, the panellists agreed that the future for any brand was their strategy for YouTube, and by extension the future for multi-channel networks and similar providers was how quickly they adapted to trends and differentiated themselves from the pack.
