We’ve held our fourth ‘Walk for Walker‘ fundraiser in aid of the James Walker Legacy Award, where we once again challenged ourselves during a single lunch break to collectively walk the mileage (in either our office neighbourhood or in local areas) between our London office and Brighton – James Walker’s home town.

On a crisp but bright lunchtime on Tuesday 24 January, over 50 of us simultaneously walked at least one mile each, helping us hit our group target of 56.1miles by foot.  Our experiences have been captured in an album below. ​​​​​​​

Established in 2020, the James Walker Legacy Award provides much-needed support for graduates of the National Film & Television School‘s screenwriting and producing courses in the first crucial year after graduating.  The Award, which combines financial assistance, mentoring, legal help and/or networking opportunities will help them hit the ground running and allow them to dedicate their time to further developing their portfolios and establishing themselves in the industry.  It stands to help emerging talent as they navigate the challenges of breaking into the industry, while enabling them to establish themselves regardless of background or financial means, all in the spirit of the support James gave to so many.

The walk coincided with Wellbeing January; during this month we have actively promoted healthy lifestyles and eating at L&T through a series of internal wellbeing initiatives.
