As the dialogue around gender imbalance in the media industries continues to gain momentum, yesterday Lee & Thompson was delighted to host the latest talk in the ever-popular Female Film Leaders career talks programme for up-and-coming female film executives.

We welcomed speaker Rachel Okine of STXinternational who spoke of her inspiring career journey and shared her experience of identifying and delivering new content for international film distribution, through reflecting on her first year as the company’s VP of Acquisitions. Rachel spoke too about what she learnt from her time in Paris working for Studiocanal, a film production and distribution company which owns one of the world’s largest film libraries, as well as her time working in Sydney at Entertainment One.

Female Film Leaders is a not-for-profit forum which was set up as a practical response to the gender imbalance which pervades the film industry.  Lee & Thompson is delighted to support the organisation. This event was also sponsored by Sharp House, Bankside Films and Head Gear Films.
