On a sunny lunchtime last week, staff at Lee & Thompson stepped back from our desks to celebrate the work of The Midi Music Company (MMC), our nominated Charity of the Year, at our Let’s Lunch for Midi! fundraiser.

Staff from all departments contributed an impressive array of homemade dishes to a buffet and the team behind MMC joined us to explain more about their work and the charity’s vision.  We were thrilled to welcome some artists who have gone through the MMC development programme and were even treated to a debut performance of ‘Good to You’ by singer songwriter Oggie (whose career has been created and strengthened by MMC) at the lunch, which raised hundreds of pounds for the charity.

MMC’s objective is to spark interest in the rich culture of music amongst young people not only in the UK but all over the world.  Based in Deptford, the charity provides live music seminars, instrumental classes and other great opportunities for aspiring artists.  The charity seeks to support young people looking to carve a career in the music industry and its courses have been developed for those with learning difficulties and disabilities.  If you would like to donate to the Music Midi Company and support Lee & Thompson, you can show your support here.
