Federation Studios advised by L&T on major TV expansion deal

Lee & Thompson is delighted to have advised Federation Studios (formerly Federation Entertainment) on its acquisition of a majority stake in leading TV drama producer Vertigo Films and its ongoing deal with Vertigo’s management.

With offices in Paris, Los Angeles, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, London and Tel Aviv, Federation Studios is a global force in the creation, production, financing and distribution of high-quality original productions and the acquisition marks its continued expansion as it increases its investment in acclaimed production labels and creative talent.

Vertigo Films produced two of Sky’s most successful original HETV dramas in recent years in ‘Britannia‘ and Ashley Walters’ ‘Bulletproof‘, and its upcoming releases include 80s set gangster series ‘A Town Called Malice‘ by Nick Love for Sky Max and London Film Festival listed comedy-drama series ‘Mammals‘ by Jez Butterworth starring James Corden and Sally Hawkins for Amazon Prime.

Leading the L&T team on the Corporate side of the transaction was Joshua Metliss with Chrissie Edgar and Henrietta Currie and advising from our TV group were Reno Antoniades and Victoria Gaisford. The team also included April Gordon and Neha Solanki (Employment), Leo Dawkins (Data Protection and Dispute Resolution) and Jack Palfreeman (Brand Protection).
